Qrendo launches risk and test module for req:ai

25 April 2026 · The Qrendo team

We are launching the two most requested optional modules in Qrendo req:ai: Risk management and Verification & validation (V&V). The modules are activated per installation and integrate seamlessly into the shared traceability model.

Risk management

The risk module gives you a structured risk register tightly linked to your requirements.

Included:

  • Risk items with title, description, category, source, and lifecycle stage
  • Probability and impact (1–5) with computed score and derived level (Low / Medium / High / Critical)
  • Residual assessment, treatment strategy (Avoid / Mitigate / Transfer / Accept), plans, and contingency
  • State machine with controlled transitions (Suggested → Identified → Analyzed → TreatmentPlanned → ...)
  • Requirement links with stale detection — when a linked requirement changes, the link is automatically flagged as outdated
  • Review sessions with per-risk decisions and finalization

Verification & validation

The V&V module separates Verification (against system requirements) from Validation (against stakeholder requirements) and links test activities to specific requirement versions.

Included:

  • V&V plans with revision management and release gatekeeping
  • Manual and AI-assisted creation of test items
  • Runs with per-item verdicts (Passed / Failed / PartiallyPassed / Blocked / NotApplicable)
  • Approval workflow with technical review, quality review, and formal approval
  • Coverage view — which requirements lack planned V&V, which have passed, which need re-verification?
  • Excel and Word/PDF export of coverage and run reports

Why it matters

Requirements without links to tests and risk are incomplete. With these modules you close the gap from requirement definition to a verified, risk-assessed system — in the same platform, with the same traceability layer.
